The makers of a Fallout 4 mod called Fallout 4: The Capital Wasteland have said they’ve made significant progress in recreating the world of Fallout 3 using the Fallout 4 engine.

According to the mod’s makers, at least 40 percent of the world from Fallout 3 has now been recreated, while they indicate that they hardly took this project seriously in 2017. The mod is basically a remaster of Fallout 3 with the graphics capabilities of Fallout 4.

The staff responsible for the scripting report having completed a number of important quests, such as The Wasteland Survival Guide and Following in his Footsteps. At the moment there is still work to be done on Vault 101 and a lot of progress is said to have been made with the introductory video.

The team has not said anything about a possible future release date of the mod either in the recent announcement or on the official website. It will probably be a while before Fallout 4: The Capital Wasteland becomes available and fans can enter the post-apocalyptic world of a devastated Washington DC.
