Fan Makes Super Mario 64 Maker

A fan has created a version of the game Super Mario 64 that resembles Nintendo’s own Super Mario Maker. In the fan game, players can use parts of the original game to create and play their own levels.

The program, which is available for download for Nintendo 64 emulators, will provide players with a variety of building blocks, power-ups and enemies that are also present in the original game. This makes it look like Super Mario Maker, a game that Nintendo released in 2015. The objects of Super Mario 64 Maker can be manipulated to allow, for example, rotating platforms or power-ups in boxes. Builders can also set tasks or goals for the player: in the video, the creator shows that a star appears when Mario defeats all the Goombas on a platform.

By customizing the terrain and content, the player can build his own levels and even his own game to his heart’s content. If you like your levels enough, you can share them with other players via a server on Discord and you can also download levels from others. The creator of the program does mention that this is the first version of Super Mario 64 Maker and recommends that players save their work often due to bugs that may be present.

Super Mario 64 was released in 1996 and was the first in the series to use 3D graphics. The game has sold more than 11 million copies, making it the top-selling Nintendo 64 game.
