Fallout TV series from Westworld creators to go into production this year

Amazon’s Fallout TV series goes into production this year. Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, creators of the Westworld TV series, will be executive producers on this series, as will Todd Howard. Nolan will also direct the first episode.

Geneva Robertson-Dworet, one of the writers of Captain Marvel, and The Office and Silicon Valley writer Graham Wagner will be showrunners of the series. The information comes from a Deadline article posted by the Fallout twitter channel has been retweeted† Further details are not yet known; for example, it is not clear where the story will take place, which actors will participate and when the series should appear.

Amazon Studios announced a year and a half ago that it wanted to release a Fallout TV series. At the time, the company only said it would partner with Kilter Films, Nolan and Joy’s production company. Howard said at the time that Bethesda had been working on a movie or TV series of the post-apocalyptic game series for years. The series will be released on Amazon Prime.
