Fallout 76 Player Complains To Bethesda About Bug That Makes Character Immortal
Enabling a ‘god mode’ in games is usually only possible through cheats and is really only fun to get past that one tricky part. A Fallout 76 player now appears not to have an immortal character due to cheats but due to a bug, which he would like to get rid of.
On Reddit, user Brogadyn complains that he is frustrated that his Fallout 76 character is completely immortal. According to the player, there are no options to kill his character; even a nuclear explosion at a distance of one meter has no effect. According to the player, it is a bug that occurred very suddenly.
The player is not exactly happy with this situation, because he feels that he has to limit himself to boring activities. He feels that his “divine character” would ruin the player-versus-player part or exploring in general. The character is also almost at level 100, which would leave little to do in terms of story and equipment. In addition, he cannot perform certain activities, because according to the game, his character would be at 0 health points.
Brogadyn has submitted a support ticket to Bethesda to do something about his immortal character. However, he got a relatively useless response from a Bethesda employee, who laid out an irrelevant basic aspect, which is how to view a character’s status. For now, Bethesda doesn’t seem to be making any serious efforts to fix the immortality bug. By the way, Brogadyn says he can probably reproduce the bug.
It is not very surprising that Fallout 76 still has the necessary bugs. The maker already announced in October that the game could still contain ‘spectacular’ problems after release. Recently there was also another quite spectacular bug in the game. Some players simultaneously launched three nuclear weapons, causing the server to crash.
