Fallout 76 will receive the Wastelanders update in the fall of this year that will add human NPCs. The lack of live NPCs was a major criticism of the game. There will also be a battle royale mode called Nuclear Winter.

Bethesda announced during E3 that some criticism was justified and that it had listened to feedback about Fallout 76. The company has therefore wanted to make significant improvements. One of those improvements is the arrival of Wastelanders, a free update that adds human NPCs with dialogues and quests. Humans are returning to the Appalachian Wasteland after the player’s attempts to build a new civilization on the remains of the old one. The update also includes new weapons and other pieces of equipment. One of the criticisms of the game was that it felt ’empty’ due to the lack of NPCs.

There will also be the battle royale mode Nuclear Winter. In this, players compete against 51 others as a ring of fire slowly closes in on them. If the player survives, he gains access to more and more parts of Vault 51.

From June 10 to 17, Fallout 76 will be free to play and will introduce players to Nuclear Winter. The battle royal mode will then appear in November.
