An English translation of Resurrection, a mod for Fallout 2 that adds a storyline to the game, has been released. The mod already appeared in Czech in 2013, and a translation has been worked on in recent years. The original game is required to play the mod.

Resurrection is a mod for Fallout 2, the RPG classic from 1998. The makers state that the original game was full of jokes and Easter eggs; those are also there in the Resurrection storyline, but much more in the background. That should make the mod more similar to the first Fallout game from 1997.

The storyline of Resurrection takes place between Fallout 1 and 2, in the New Mexico area. In terms of size and locations, the mod is similar to Fallout 1, but there are many more quests and more ways to solve them.

An original version of Fallout 2 is required to play the mod. Both CD, Steam and GOG installations are compatible. The mod also integrates the existing patches that add support for high resolutions and modern operating systems.

Resurrection has been developed over the past ten years by a team of Czech Fallout fans. The mod was released in Czech in October 2013. All lyrics have been translated into English for the international release. The mod is free to download.
