Facebook takes a quarter of the price of Oculus Go
Facebook has taken a quarter of the price of the VR headset Oculus Go. The company has confirmed that. Where until recently the VR headset cost 220 euros, users now have to pay 160 euros for the headset.
The price drop is global and not part of a discount promotion, Facebook tells UploadVR. The company won’t say why the Oculus Go has become cheaper, but it’s likely due to decreased demand or lower production costs for the device.
The Go is Oculus’ cheaper VR headset and runs the software that users also find on Samsung’s Gear VR. Unlike the Gear VR, it is a standalone headset. Facebook released the headset in the spring of 2018. Last year’s more expensive Oculus Quest keeps the same price.
Oculus Go | New price | Old price |
