Facebook puts Marketplace tab in mobile app for users in Benelux

Social network Facebook has put its function for trading stuff prominently in the tab among users in the Benelux. For many users, Marketplace is now right next to the notifications in the interface of the app.

Tweaker Johannes77 noticed the arrival of the Marketplace icon, although not everyone seems to have the new interface yet. Facebook announced last month that it would launch Marketplace in the Benelux.

In late 2016, Marketplace first became available on the Facebook mobile app in the US. A few months later, the sales platform also became available on the desktop there; when that will be the case in the Benelux is not clear. The service is free to use.

In addition to Marketplace, it is also noticeable that Facebook is tinkering with the rest of the bar, which is at the top with the Android version of the app and at the bottom with iOS. For example, the classic globe for notifications has been replaced by a bell and some users have a profile photo instead of the Messenger icon.
