Facebook provides Messenger with Stories-like function ‘Day’

Facebook has announced Messenger Day. This feature allows users to add photos and video to their ‘day’ for all or some friends to see. The images can be viewed up to 24 hours after publication.

Messenger Day users can choose whether all their friends or a selection of them can follow and respond to the Day. After taking the photo or video, Messenger users can add effects and texts. According to Facebook, as many images can be added as users want, since they disappear after 24 hours.

Messenger is thus again a Facebook chat service that gets this function, with which competitor Snapchat started under the name Stories. Facebook previously added similar features to Instagram and WhatsApp. Users can get Messenger Day by updating the Android or iOS app to the latest version. They can also post items on their Day from conversations and the day of friends can also be followed during chats.
