Facebook Messenger gets support for threads in group chats
Facebook Messenger gets support for sending replies to messages in threads. For example, in group chats, it should be clearer to a user that someone is replying to his or her question or comment.
The feature will be released worldwide, Facebook told Venturebeat. It is unknown when it will happen, but presumably it will happen soon. Users can try the feature by long pressing a message and the option for a reply will appear. In the group chat, there is then a label next to the answer that shows who the user is answering to.
That should make it easier to see who is responding to whom in a group chat, Facebook says. Recently, Messenger was given the option to revoke messages within ten minutes of sending, something that WhatsApp has been able to do for longer. WhatsApp also has the function to respond to individual messages on board for some time.
