Facebook lets users paste text and emojis over images in photo editor

Facebook has created a photo editor for iOS, in which it lets users paste photos with text, emojis and filters. Not everyone has the new interface in the app yet, so it looks like it is a test.

Users can add images, filters and texts to photos, among other things, and also make them larger, smaller or skewed, notes Techcrunch. Full functionality is in the iOS app, while the Android version only has stickers and text. The filters are missing on Android.

The photo editor is visible to a limited number of users, making it look like it is a test. Facebook more often carries out such tests, in which appearance changes and new functions are suddenly visible to random users.

Techcrunch notes that the functionality is very similar to what Snapchat does, the app that Facebook wanted to acquire some time ago. Facebook has not yet commented on the change to its photo editor.
