Facebook is testing synced videos in Messenger together
Facebook is conducting an internal test in which multiple Facebook Messenger users watch the same videos simultaneously. Further details on this are not yet available.
A Facebook spokesperson confirmed to TechCrunch that this is an internal test, but declined to provide further details about the feature that allows Messenger users to watch videos simultaneously. It is therefore still unknown if and when this functionality will be available. The new functionality means that multiple users can watch a synchronized video in the group conversation.
Ananay Aorora from the Timebound app discovered What could be found in Messenger’s code is that users will be able to watch videos at the same time and immediately talk about them with each other. Each member of the group conversation would also receive a notification when a jointly viewed video is started. Also, each participant would have control over the video and see who is watching the video.
