Facebook is experiencing outage – update 2

At the time of writing, Facebook is experiencing a global outage. The cause of the problems is unknown, but the site cannot be visited. The mobile apps of the social networking site also suffer from problems.

The Facebook site has been showing the message that ‘something is wrong’ and the site cannot be visited since roughly ten o’clock. An indication of the cause is not given. The mobile apps show the message that ‘the newsfeed could not be loaded’.

It’s unknown if the issues are happening for everyone, or if only some traffic to Facebook gets an error message. In any case, the problems do not seem to be region-specific: all over the world complain people about the problem.
