Facebook gives users more freedom with news feed
Facebook now allows users to further customize the news feed to their liking. The feed is now divided into different tabs, including tabs for the most viewed people, pages and groups.
It is also possible to filter messages in the feed separately. If you don’t want to see something from a friend, you can indicate that you will receive fewer similar messages or that that person no longer appears in the news feed at all.
Facebook hopes to meet the criticism of some users with an update for desktop and mobile. They have long felt that there are too many messages that are not relevant. “People want more control,” a Facebook product manager told The Wall Street Journal.
The American company is also making more changes to the news feed, as users post and watch more videos every day. This way they can see how many views a video has. Within five years, Facebook is expected to be mostly video, the company said.
