Facebook gets a way to find clicked links in the app
Facebook is getting a way to find links clicked in the Android and iOS apps. That was not possible until now.
Facebook Link History
Users in the US first reported getting a pop-up on Tuesday to the function to turn on or off, reports Gizmodo. Meta reports that the feature is not yet active worldwide and it is unknown whether Link History will work in Europe. When opening the pop-up, it is set to ‘on’ by default. Meta does not appear to change anything about the tracking itself within Facebook’s in-app browser. However, users can now see for 30 days which links they have visited with the function. It has been clear for some time that Facebook injects JavaScript into its in-app browser for tracking.
