Facebook comes with a database of royalty-free music for videos
Facebook has created a database of royalty-free music and sound effects that can be used with videos on the social platform. The database must prevent the unlawful use of copyrighted songs.
The Facebook Sound Collection was announced on a Facebook content creator information page. The music and sound effects should help the users who create content to choose suitable songs for their videos.
According to Facebook, the database contains thousands of sound clips. The list of music tracks can be searched with a search function or filtered by genre, atmosphere, length and the type of vocals. The sound effects can be filtered by category or length. All songs can be played within the website or downloaded as an .m4a file.
The database is part of a series of features that Facebook introduced last month to make the lives of content creators easier. In addition, Facebook has also released the Creator app, which is currently only available for iOS, although an Android version is in the works.
