EvLeaks shows renders of Sony WF-1000XM4 bluetooth earphones
EvLeaks has apparently put official renders of Sony’s WF-1000XM4 earphones online. Previously, photos of a prototype were released. The design has been significantly changed compared to its predecessors.
Sony’s WF-1000XM4 earphones are no longer pill-shaped, like the Sony WF-1000XM3 earphones that came out in 2019. The successors have a rounder design, as can be seen on the renders put online by Evan Blass . With his Twitter account @evleaks, he has been known for years for publishing official renders of smartphones and accessories prior to release.
There will be black and white variants of the bluetooth ears. New technical details have not appeared. In February, a package of the earphones with a Hi-Res Audio logo could already be seen. That could mean they support Sony’s LDAC codec. The current WF-1000XM3 earbuds do not. The packaging also stated that the earbuds last for six hours and that the charging case is good for an extra eighteen hours.
According to rumors, Sony will release the earphones in June. Earlier this month, photos of prototypes of the ears appeared. Judging from the renders that have now been published, the design is almost the same. The WF-1000XM4 earphones are expected to feature active noise canceling, just like their predecessors.
