EVGA Introduces Water Cooled GeForce 1080 Ti SC2 Hybrid

EVGA has announced a GTX 1080 Ti video card with an all-in-one water cooler. The SC2 Hybrid version has nine sensors on the PCB that monitor the temperature. The manufacturer sets the boost clock to 1670MHz.

This makes the boost speed a little 100MHz higher than the reference speed of 1582MHz, which Nvidia specifies for the GTX 1080 Ti. The base clock of the EVGA card is 1556MHz. In addition to a water block and 120 mm radiator, the video card has a regular fan, which should keep parts such as the VRMs cool.

The water block has a copper base and is also connected to the memory modules on the pcb by means of copper. According to EVGA, the temperature of various components is monitored with nine temperature sensors and the card is cooled in specific places as needed. The temperature of all sensors can be read in the supplied software.

The video card has 11GB gddr5x memory with a speed of 11Gbit/s. Compared to the reference version, the memory is not overclocked. The video card is 266.7 mm long and takes up two slots of space. EVGA has not yet announced a suggested retail price.
