EVGA introduces mechanical Z10 keyboard with LCD
EVGA has released the Z10, a mechanical keyboard that comes with Kailh Blue and Brown switches and has a monochrome LCD that can display game statistics.
EVGA showed the Z10 at the CES in 2015 but has the product now on the market. The red LCD is in the middle and can display statistics for gamers such as frame rates and for overclockers such as temperatures of hardware components. It is not the first keyboard with LCD, the G15 from Logitech from 2005 already had that for example.
There is red backlighting, the brightness of which via EVGA’s Unleashed software but also via a slider on the keyboard can be adjusted. On the other side of the LCD is a same slider for volume. The Z10 supports polling at a speed of 1000Hz and anti-ghosting with n-key rollover.
On both sides of the Z10 there are USB 2.0 ports for connecting devices. The palm rest is magnetically attached and can be adjusted in three positions. On the left are five programmable macro keys. The keyboard weighs 1.48 kilograms and has dimensions of 185x470mm at a height of 35mm.
The American price is $ 149; the keyboard will soon be coming to Europe but the euro price is not yet known.
