Evan Blass leaks Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 soc specs
Smartphone leaker Evan Blass has shared possible specs of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 soc. The chipset is baked on the 4nm process and gets a Kyro CPU, some cores of which run at 2.2GHz. It is unclear when the chipset will be released.
The Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 will receive an Adreno GPU, although it is not yet clear how many cores this mobile GPU contains and how fast they will be. The GPU supports according to the leak of Evan Blass among others HDR playback of games and video, Vulkan 1.1 and OpenGL ES 3.2. The chipset contains a Spectra isp that allows any device with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 soc to take photos with a maximum of 108 megapixels. Thanks to the Spectra isp, 4k HDR video can also be recorded at 30fps. Slomo video can also be recorded at up to 240fps in combination with a resolution of 270p.
The chipset supports LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, including Bluetooth LE Audio. The chipset can handle the Qualcomm aptX Voice, aptX Lossless, aptX adaptive Aqstic codes. Devices with this chipset will include a USB-C port that supports USB 3.1. Manufacturers can only use lp-DDR5 memory modules in combination with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 and install a maximum of 12GB of RAM. The chip is baked on the 4nm process of an unnamed chip manufacturer. It is not clear when Qualcomm will introduce the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 soc.
