E3 gaming show organizer Entertainment Software Association is reportedly working on a “complete reinvention” of the show’s 2025 edition. It is not clear what this means for the 2024 edition of the fair.

ESA’s President and CEO Stanley Pierre-Louis let GamesIndustry.biz know that the company will continue to evaluate “every aspect of the event,” from format to location, and will provide more news about E3 “within months.” The site also writes that it has heard that the organizer is working on a ‘complete reinvention’ for the 2025 edition, but it is not clear how it obtained that information.

The site further claims that the ESA has already informed the Los Angeles Convention Center that it will not hold a show there in 2024. That is the location where the game fair is traditionally held, but GamesIndustry.biz does not know whether that also means that there will be no E3 fair at all next year.

Furthermore, ReedPop, known for PAX, among others, has informed GamesIndustry.biz that it will no longer work with the ESA on future E3 events. The intention was for both companies to jointly organize the 2023 edition, but the fair was ultimately canceled this year.
