Epic Games provides console version Fortnite Battle Royale with 60fps mode
Epic Games has released Fortnite V3.0.0. Among other things, the update adds a hand cannon and the console versions get a 60fps mode in Battle Royale mode, which replaces the uncapped mode.
The 60fps mode has been set as the default for Fortnite on the PlayStation 4 and 4 Pro, and on the Xbox One and One X after the update. It is possible to switch back to the 30fps mode, where the graphics are nicer. Epic Games says they’ve tuned the 60fps mode specifically for each console, for the best balance between frame rate and graphical splendor.
Fortnite also gets improvements with the V3 update when it comes to building objects in the game. This should now be faster and more intuitive, and it is possible to build straight through objects such as trees and cars. Epic Games has published a blog about these improvements.
Furthermore, a new soundtrack has been added to the game and a display option for people who are color blind. The patch notes also detail a long list of bugs that have been fixed and numerous minor changes made to the game. Epic Games has also removed the depth of field effect from the game, making the game look sharper. Furthermore, the contrast has been adjusted.
