Epic Games makes the assets of mobagame Paragon available for free to developers who work with Unreal Engine 4. The characters from the game and their accompanying animations and skins can therefore be used in other games.

The assets can be found in the Unreal Engine Marketplace and may be used for projects created in Unreal Engine 4. For now, Epic Games has put the assets of twenty characters from Paragon online and a game world including all textures and associated effects. More assets should follow in the coming months.

Epic Games claims in an announcement that the assets represent a value of twelve million dollars. In addition to 3d models, it also involves dialogues of the characters and sound effects. Developers working on UE4 projects are allowed to use the assets, without any conditions attached.

Paragon will be taken off the air on April 26 and players will get their money back. Epic Games announced that decision at the beginning of this year. The studio says it will not be able to develop the game into a game that has enough players to remain viable. The moba game had to compete with games like Smite, League of Legends and Dota 2.
