Epic Games hints at new Unreal Tournament based on Unreal Engine 4
Epic Games seems to be planning to release a new game in the Unreal Tournament series. On May 8, the company will announce more details about the plans. The suspected new game is probably based on the Unreal Engine 4.
Vice President of Epic Games Mark Rein took to Twitter drop out that more will become clear about the future of Unreal Tournament on May 8th. The CEO seems to refer to a new game in the popular shooter series in his message. Other Epic Games employees have also hinted on Twitter about the upcoming reveals about the Unreal Tournament series.
Rein didn’t say anything about what exactly his company will reveal on May 8. Another collaborator, Paul Meegan, hinted on Twitter to an Unreal Engine 4 based game. Epic Games will make its announcements Thursday via the video streaming medium Twitch.tv.
The first installment in the popular Unreal Tournament series came out 15 years ago. Epic Games then made three sequels. The last game in the series, Unreal Tournament 3, was released 7 years ago in 2007.
