Enermax releases X’t II power supply

Enermax introduces four power supplies in the Enermax Revolution X’t II series. These are power supplies with a maximum power of 450, 550, 650 and 750 watts. Like the first X’t series, the power supplies have an 80Plus Gold rating.

The power supplies are equipped with Nippon Chemi-Con ‘105 °C’ capacitors. The psu must also be efficient, as evidenced by the 80Plus Gold certificate. This means that the power supply must achieve an efficiency of 90 percent at a load of fifty percent.

The power supplies are modular. For the AC power cable, there is a ‘cord guard’ around the AC connection to prevent accidents from accidentally pulling out the cable. The fan-delay system allows the fan in the power supply to run for another 30 to 60 seconds, giving the system a little longer to cool down. The bearings of the 139mm fan are shaped in such a way that they would produce less noise than those of traditional fans.

All versions can deliver practically all of their power over the 12V line, which amounts to 444W, 540W, 636W and 744W respectively for the different versions. Fixed cabling has a 24-pin ATX connector and a 4+4 CPU connector. There are also eight SATA, four 4p Molex, four 6+2p PCI-E connections and an FDD connection.

The power supplies weigh between 2.5 and 2.7 kilograms and will be available ‘in February’. It is not yet known what the 15×8.6x16cm devices will cost.
