Production company Endemol holds the rights to make games for Endemol shows such as 1 against 100 and Big Brother to make casual games. In the past, the Deal or no Deal license was sold, among other things.

Endemol wants to take the casual games market by storm with its own licenses. “We have retained the rights to some of our biggest titles and we will take advantage of them,” said Endemol’s Director of the Gaming Department Eric LaVanchy in an interview with website Casualgames. “We have already spoken with several parties and there seems to be a lot of demand for these types of brands.”

In the past, Endemol sold, among other things, the Deal or no Deal license to third parties. However, the company thinks it can take more advantage of the online PC market by getting started with its own licenses. In the same interview, LaVanchy pointed out that casual games should be funded primarily through in-game advertising, traditional advertising, and sponsorship. However, Endemol is also researching a ‘try before you buy’ system and the sale of virtual items.
