Elementary Releases Stable Version of Freya
The makers of elementary OS have announced the first stable release of Freya, the latest version of the Ubuntu-based operating system. Freya is the successor to Luna, which came out two years ago.
Elementary announced the arrival of the final version on its blog. According to the makers, the emphasis in the Freya release is on design and the OS should feel smoother. But in addition, several new features have been built in, such as improved multitasking, notifications and privacy. There is also support for uefi. In addition, several bugs that came with the previous release have been fixed.
