Elden Ring mods gain access to arenas that may indicate pvp areas
Elden Ring mods have gained access to three previously inaccessible areas in Elden Ring. The areas are very similar to arenas for pvp battles. This could indicate deleted content or a future pvp expansion.
Dark Souls fans will get instant flashbacks to the Hollow Arena in Dark Souls 3, a pvp expansion for the game that came with the season pass, among other things. The areas in Elden Ring, discovered by youtubers Garden of Eyes and Lance McDonald, are very similar to that. The arenas can be found in Leyndell, Northern Limgrave and Caelid. It had been known for some time that there was something to be found in these areas, but until now no one was able to gain access.
The three arenas are fully developed, show Garden of Eyes and McDonald, and resemble a gladiator ring, with swords on the ground, fire pits and stands for spectators. Both gamers had to mod the game to gain access to the areas. Garden of Eyes previously modded Dark Souls 3, Bloodborne and Sekiro, among others. McDonald previously discovered cut content in Bloodborne, Sekiro, Dark Souls 3 and Nier Automata, among others.
Just because the arenas are there doesn’t mean From Software is secretly working on DLC for pvp battles. It could just as easily be scrapped content, or areas the developers used for testing, but Elden Ring fans, of course, hope three areas will be added soon to battle each other. Although we already think Elden Ring is a great game.
