Elden Ring Delayed To February 2022 To Get Closed Network Test Demo
Elden Ring, the upcoming game from Dark Souls developer From Software, has been delayed by a month. The game will now be released on February 25, 2022. The game will also be getting a Closed Network Test, which will allow selected players to play the game for a number of sessions.
“Elden Ring will be released on February 25, 2022, as the game’s depth and strategic freedom has exceeded previous expectations,” the developer wrote. on Twitter. The game was initially scheduled for January 21, and has been delayed for more than a month. This delay allows From Software to make final changes to the game.
In addition to the postponement, the maker reports that the game will receive a Closed Network Test in November. That is a kind of demo where gamers can play the initial phase of the game. The test is intended to help the developer test Elden Ring’s online servers. The network test runs from 12 to 15 November. Players can try out the game during that period, divided into five different sessions of three hours each. These sessions take place worldwide at set times.
Players can register on the website of publisher Bandai Namco for a chance to participate in the Closed Network Test. To do this, users need to create a Bandai Namco account. Gamers can choose a platform of their choice to play the Closed Network Test on. The network test will be held on the PlayStation 4 and 5 and the Xbox One, Series X and Series S. Elden Ring will also be released for PCs, but there will be no Closed Network Test on that platform.
From Software announced Elden Ring at E3 2019. It is a fantasy RPG created by the developers of Dark Souls and Bloodborne in collaboration with George RR Martin, known for the book series A Song of Ice and Fire. Earlier this year, in June, From Software showed the first gameplay footage of the game.
