EKWB makes waterblock available for cooling seven GPUs
Slovenian refrigeration manufacturer EK Waterblocks has launched the EK-FC Terminal Hepta Semi Parallel: a water block that can cool seven GPUs simultaneously. The manufacturer focuses on use by render farms, but an earlier demonstration involved a game system.
The EK-FC Terminal Hepta Semi Parallel has been developed to be able to cool seven single-slot video cards simultaneously. EKWB admits that there are very few gaming motherboards that can accommodate that many cards, but server and workstation boards do exist.
Customers running render farms or using their systems for high-performance computing can now liquid cool their systems when using seven graphics cards on a single motherboard. The waterblock was made public in early January with a demonstration by LinusTechTips, which allowed seven gamers to play simultaneously on a single system.
The Hepta is part of a range of new EK-FC Terminal products, including the Direct and Angled for single cards and the Dual Parallel 1-Slot Acetal and Plexi for SLI and Crossfire configurations.
