EKWB Introduces Wooden Water Cooling Components

Slovenian EK Water Blocks has announced its Lignum line of wood-based products. The line will initially consist of three products, including a waterblock for GeForce RTX cards

For the first Lignum products, EKWB uses walnut wood, namely black walnut or Juglans Nigra. According to the manufacturer, this type of wood always manages to surprise ‘with color and texture’.

The EK-CPU Lignum – Walnut is a CPU cooling block with the wood type, for Intel and AMD processors. The pre-order price is 179.90 euros. The EK-FC RTX 2080 Ti Lignum – Walnut is based on the EK-Vector RE block for GeForce RTX video cards with a wood layer. This can be ordered for 349.90 euros. Finally, the EK-HTC Lignum 12mm – Walnut is a fitting with a diameter on the outside of 12mm for 17.90 euros.

The addition of Walnut to the names of the products suggests that EKWB is also considering using other types of wood, although nothing is known about this.
