EKWB comes with Quantum Vector water blocks for GeForce RTX 3080 Founders Edition
EKWB has announced its Quantum Vector water blocks for the RTX 3080 Founders Edition. Among other things, the company supplies a backplate that connects to the V-shaped end of the Founders Edition PCBs. The water blocks cost 274.44 euros.
EKWB introduces a black and a silver variant of the Quantum Vector FE. The cooling surface of this water block is made of nickel-plated copper and has a clear acrylic top. The ‘external housing’ is made of aluminum, EKWB reports. The manufacturer supplies the water blocks with a single slot I / O shield.
EKWB also provides the water blocks with a backplate . These have a V-shaped end, just like the Founders Edition pcb. The black variant is provided with a silver-colored backplate and vice versa. The Founders Edition’s standard backplate is not compatible with the water block, EKWB reports .
The water block also comes with two separate connection terminals with inlets and outlets at different locations. One of these terminals has G1 / 4 “connections on the side, while the other variant has such connectors on the front and back.
The manufacturer also provides the water block with argb LEDs, which can be controlled via software from ASRock, ASUS, Gigabyte and MSI. The company reports that the water blocks have suggested retail prices of 269.90 euros. Currently, the black and silver variants can only be pre-ordered through the EKWB and resellers website . Both models currently cost 274.44 euros on the EKWB website. According to the company, the first copies will be shipped in December.
EKWB already posted teasers of the Founders Edition water blocks on social media in September. At the end of October , EKWB published a full photo of the product. At that time, the company also stated that the water blocks would be officially announced this week. At that time, the company did not yet mention delivery times or recommended prices.
