Eizo announces 23.8″ monitor with UHD resolution

Eizo has announced a 23.8″ monitor with a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels in its ColorEdge series, monitors mainly intended for graphics professionals. The ColorEdge CG248-4K thus offers a ppi value of 185.

The CG248-4K has an IPS panel and LED backlighting. According to Eizo, the LCD can display up to 99 percent of the Adobe RGB color space. In addition, the monitor has already been calibrated at the factory by Eizo.

Eizo states that a button can be found on the front of the monitor with which a 4k zoom can be quickly applied to parts of the screen. This option would be especially useful for photographers. In addition, there are three USB 3.0 ports, while two displayport 1.2 and two HDMI inputs are placed at the back.

The ColorEdge CG248-4K should hit the market next month. Recommended retail prices have not yet been announced.
