EEC registrations call AMD A520 motherboards from ASRock
Motherboard manufacturer ASRock has registered some AMD A520 motherboards with the Eurasian Economic Commission. The listing also includes some unannounced B550 motherboards. Motherboards with the A520 chipset are expected in the third quarter of 2020.
Judging by the skus mentioned, the ASRock motherboards appear to be mostly micro-atx and mini-itx formats, according to two separate registrations spotted by TechPowerUp and Tom’s Hardware. This appears to involve a total of twelve different revisions of six separate motherboard models. The registry also mentions some unannounced B550 motherboards from the manufacturer: the B550M Dash and B550M Dash R2.0. Further specifications of the motherboards are still unknown.
The A520 chipset is rumored to be missing some features compared to B550 and X570, according to previous leaked information from HKEPC. For example, according to rumors, users cannot overclock their cpu with A520 motherboards, just like with the current A320 chipset. The A520 also has fewer PCI-e lanes than the higher-positioned chipsets. Support for pci-e 4.0 for gpus and ssds is also missing. The first A520 motherboards are expected in the third quarter of 2020. This chipset should replace the current A320 motherboards.
