EEC registration shows RTX 2060 GPU with 8GB vram
Nvidia will probably soon come with an RTX 2060 GPU with 8GB of memory. This is according to a statement on the website of the Eurasian Economic Commission. The website of this committee mentions three unannounced RTX 2060 video cards from Asus.
The EEC registration was published on March 10, PCGamesN discovered. This concerns three variants of the Asus ROG Strix RTX 2060 EVO; a ‘normal’ variant, an Advanced Edition with slight overclocking and a full OC model. In addition, the system requirements of Doom Eternal also mentioned an RTX 2060 8GB earlier this week, Hexus writes. This has now been adjusted to an RTX 2060 with 6GB of gddr6 memory, so there is a chance that this was a typo.
If Nvidia indeed comes with an RTX 2060 8GB video card, it will probably be introduced during GTC 2020. This event by Nvidia will only take place online due to the corona virus. Initially, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang was supposed to hold an online keynote on March 24, but this has also been canceled due to the virus. Instead, Nvidia says it will post its GTC news online on March 24 after a conference call with investors.
