EA working on new game in Skate series
EA comes with a new game in the Skate series. Three parts of the skateboarding game appeared, the last of which came out in 2010. Gamers have long been asking for a sequel. The creators of the first parts are involved in the new game.
Images of the new game have not yet been shown and no other details have been given. EA announced during its EA Play event that the makers of the game have been drummed up again and that a new part is being worked on. Chris ‘Cuz’ Parry and Deran Chung, both in the position of creative director, made that known in the video.
The first game in the Skate series appeared in 2007. Skate 2 came out in 2009 and Skate 3 followed in 2010. The games were more realistic than the Tony Hawk Pro Skater series games and therefore loved by many skaters. The Skate games were made by EA Black Box, but that studio closed down in 2013. Chung says in an interview with GameInformer that a large part of the employees of that studio still see each other regularly and those people are also involved in making the new game. When the new Skate game will be released has not yet been announced.
