EA Releases Update to Speed Up Progression in Star Wars: Battlefront II
Electronic Arts will release an update to Star Wars: Battlefront II on Tuesday that will make changes to the overall economy and progression system. This gives players more opportunities to earn extra credits.
EA explains that the number of credits players received at the end of a round was too low. This number will be increased for everyone with the new update. Players who have performed the best at the end of a round will receive an additional increase in the number of credits, the publisher reports.
In addition, in Arcade Mode, the maximum number of credits that can be earned daily is tripled. That number was 500 and is now 1500. EA says it has decided this because players were ‘faster than expected’ at the maximum. Other ways to add more content are still being looked at; this increase in the maximum is only the first step, according to EA. More updates will follow soon.
Electronic Arts has also ensured in the update that the so-called daily login crates contain more parts. Players should notice this immediately after successfully logging in. This is intended so that players can craft the Star Cards faster and so that they can ‘progress in the direction they want’ more quickly. These cards allow players to improve their character’s skills and equipment.
Originally, these Star Cards were available through loot boxes, but that was changed after much criticism. A few weeks ago, EA decided to temporarily disable the microtransactions in Star Wars: Battlefront II. Players will not be able to purchase Crystals for the time being and all progress in the game must be achieved through gameplay. EA and DICE decided to do this after the huge criticism of the microtransactions and loot boxes in the game.
