EA releases Rock Band 2 for Wii in European market

Electronic Arts will still release the Wii version of Rock Band 2 on the European market. The game for the Wii will probably be released in October. That’s almost a year later than the version for Nintendo’s console appeared on the US market.

Electronic Arts has announced that it will launch the Wii version of music game Rock Band 2 in Europe bring. The price of the Wii version has not yet been announced and the date on which it will go on sale, although it is likely to be released in October. This means that the game will appear in Europe almost a year later than it appeared on the American market. The Wii version has been on sale there since December 2008. It is unknown why EA has delayed the release for so long.

The Wii version will also be released in Europe well later than the other Rock Band 2 version. The Xbox 360 version was released here in November 2008, while the PlayStation 2 and 3 versions will be available for purchase from March 2009. With The Beatles: Rock Band, EA did manage to release all versions at once. The Beatles: Rock Band hits stores on September 9 for Wii, PlayStation 2 and 3, and Xbox 360.
