EA has released a reveal trailer for Need for Speed Heat. This new title in the publisher’s racing game series will be released on November 8. The trailer shows that street racing and chasing police cars in a nighttime city become dominant gameplay elements.

Electronic Arts presents Need for Speed Heat as an action-packed racing game where players can customize their supercars to outdo competing street racers, as well as get rid of the chasing police cars. The idea is that the car will be modified during the day, followed by racing at night. EA will show a new trailer during the German Gamescom fair.

The racing takes place in Palm City, Florida, where the Speedhunter Showdown competition is held during the day. This requires players to earn the in-game currency Bank to customize and upgrade their cars. Once the sun has set, it’s all about street racing where players have to build and perpetuate their reputation, making bigger races and better parts available. The police cars are constant opponents and EA writes that the agents do not always play fair.

The game will be available on November 8, but as usual with major EA titles, some players will get access a few days early. Origin Access Premier subscribers and Play First Trial players will be able to play the game as early as November 5.
