EA apologizes for issues in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and is working on a fix
EA has apologized for the issues some PC gamers are experiencing while playing Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. The problems would mainly occur with gamers with a high-end PC, or with gamers with a specific PC configuration. EA is working on a fix.
“We are aware that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is not performing as intended for a certain percentage of PC gamers,” EA said in a statement. on Twitter. The company says the issues primarily affect PC configurations that have a multithreaded chipset specifically designed for Windows 11, but use Windows 10 to run the game. According to EA, more problems would also arise with PC configurations that use a high-end video card in combination with a less powerful CPU. However, the company does not provide concrete examples of PC configurations.
EA believes that there is no solution that will solve all problems in one fell swoop, but it will come up with fixes that will resolve the performance issues across multiple PC builds. The company would already be working on these fixes, but asks for patience because they first have to be tested extensively.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was released on April 27 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S and Series X. Shortly after release, numerous reviews on Steam criticizing the performance of the PC version of the game. For many gamers, the frame rates would drop frequently, the game would crash regularly or bugs would occur. Developer Respawn Entertainment has meanwhile a first patch released which should fix some bugs and performance issues.
