Electronic Arts announces EA Access, a subscription service for Xbox One games. Players get access to The Vault, a collection of EA games that are playable during the subscription. Members also receive a discount on the purchase of the games.

EA charges $5 a month or $30 a year for EA Access. The service is already in beta testing, and EA believes it could officially launch the service “soon.” Subscribing to EA Access gives you access to The Vault, a collection of Xbox One games that can be played with the subscription without the subscriber having to purchase them. During the beta, players will have access to FIFA 14, Madden NFL 25, Peggle 2, and Battlefield 4.

Members will also receive early access to demos and betas of upcoming EA games. The first trials to become available are Madden NFL 15, NHL 15, FIFA 15, NBA LIVE 15, and Dragon Age: Inquisition. Members also receive a discount on the purchase of the digital version of EA’s Xbox One games. Members also receive a discount on other digital products, such as Battlefield 4 Premium, or, as with FIFA Ultimate Team, points. It is not known whether EA has plans to make the service available on other platforms.
