EA Announces Season 1: Zero Hour and Update 1.0.0 for Battlefield 2042
Electronic Arts announces update 1.0.0 for Battlefield 2042. The update aims to fix hundreds of bugs. The publisher is also announcing Season 1: Zero Hour content update for the game, which will include new weapons, playable character and level.
The update should fix several issues with the shooter. According to developer DICE, the animations in the game have been improved, as has the shooter’s netcode. Because of this, shots from players who hit are better registered. On the Battlefield forum, a DICE team member has a full changelog published. Update 1.0.0 will be available to all players on June 7.
In addition to the update, EA is also announcing a content update in the form of Season 1: Zero Hour. This update will be released on June 9. The update includes a new playable mountain level called Exposure. In this, players have to move a lot vertically.
The update also adds new weapons: a crossbow and a new sniper rifle. In addition, the game will get two new helicopters that players can control. Finally, there is a new playable character: Ewelina Lis. She specializes in disabling vehicles.
The new content in Season 1: Zero Hour is available in part for free to all players of the game. Additional rewards can be obtained through a paid Battlepass.
EA had already announced earlier this year that Battlefield 2042 will continue to be worked on. The game received many negative user reviews upon release. The game’s Breakthrough mode was removed from the game. This game mode allowed 128 players to compete against each other in online multiplayer, but this mode was too chaotic according to DICE.
