Dying Light developer Techland is working on fantasy action RPG
Techland is working on an open world action RPG with a fantasy setting. The maker of the Dying Light zombie games wants to make a “full next-gen experience” in its own words. It is not yet known when the game will be released.
Techland has not yet disclosed substantive details about the game. The Polish studio is looking for to developers and has plenty of job openings for the game. The company has released one concept art image. On it is a jungle-like environment with ruins.
The new game is not based on any existing story or intellectual property. The studio wants to introduce something completely new and do something different than it has done in recent years. As far as we know, the game has no name yet.
Techland made a name for itself in recent years with Dying Light and Dying Light 2. These are zombie games in an open world. Part two came out earlier this year and that game will receive support for another five years. In the meantime, the studio is working on the new fantasy RPG.
