Via Technologies released new Hyperion 4in1 Pro drivers via its website Via-Arena yesterday. The drivers are suitable for all chipsets from the VIA stable, but the KT4xx and P4X4xx families and newer in particular. This version no longer includes the IDE filter driver, so users of a Windows version older than Windows XP with SP 1 who need support for UDMA 6 should stick with version 5.04a. From Windows XP SP1, this filter is supplied by Microsoft and is therefore no longer included in the Hyperion package. The Hyperion drivers always ship without a changelog, but if you look closely at the individual version numbers and compare to version 5.10a, you can see that the RAID driver and tools plus the PATA/SATA IDE driver have been updated.
