Realtek has released new drivers for its HD Audio chips in the form of version 1.38. The new version can be downloaded as an installation package and zip file for Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003 and the x64 versions of Windows XP and Windows Server 2003. In addition to the usual customization changes, the developers of the HD Audio drivers added support for Windows Vista so that the HD chips can be used on the operating system. The drivers for Vista are available for download from this server and are still in beta:
