Download Driver For nVidia Linux Display Driver 1.0-7664

On the homepage of nVidia, new Linux display drivers can be downloaded since yesterday with version number 1.0-7664 for the following platforms: Linux IA32Linux AMD64/EMT64 and Solaris x64/x86† By downloading these drivers you automatically agree to the nVidia Software License† Below are the main changes in this release:

Linux IA32 & AMD64/EM64T Release Highlights:

  • Added OpenGL 2.0 Support.
  • Added initial support for Xinerama + OpenGL; see APPENDIX V in the text README.
  • Added support for the EXT_framebuffer_object OpenGL extension.
  • Added NV-CONTROL support for manipulating DDC/CI settings; see the AllowDDCCI X config option in the text README.
  • Added support for GPU clock manipulation; see the “Coolbits” X config option documented in Appendix D.
  • Added support for NVIDIA Quadro G-Sync.
  • Added support for GeForce 6200 AGP.
  • Improved DPMS behavior on flat panels.
  • Removed support for legacy GPUs; please see “Chapter 1. Selecting and Downloading the NVIDIA Packages for Your System” in the README for details.
  • Install NVIDIA OpenGL headers by default.

Solaris Release Highlights:

  • First publicly available NVIDIA Solaris x64/x86 Quadro Graphics Driver
  • Includes both 32-bit and 64-bit support.
  • OpenGL 2.0 Support.
  • Support for Xinerama + OpenGL; see APPENDIX S in the text README.
  • Support for the EXT_framebuffer_object OpenGL extension.
  • Includes the nvidia settings control panel.
  • See Appendix A in the README for a list of supported Quadro GPUs.
