On the Guru3d forum is a new beta version of the Nvidia Geforce drivers appeared. The drivers are version number 185.20 and were compiled on December 26, 2008. This beta can be used for Geforce 6 video cards and above on Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 build 7000. Furthermore, the new driver is equipped with Physx version 8.11.18 and support for the GTX 295 and GTX 285. It is not known which changes have been made exactly, but an Ambient Occlusion option has appeared in the Nvidia Control Panel.

In the wake of the new year, NVIDIA’s GeForce Forceware drivers have surfaced. While being in a beta stage the 185.20 Forceware provide support for NVIDIA’s upcoming products namely the GeForce GTX 295 and GeForce GTX 285. All other GPUs GeForce 6 Series onward are supported as usual. The driver is dated for 26-12-2008. The package includes PhysX system software version 8.11.18. Drivers for both 64-bit and 32-bit versions of Windows Vista and Windows XP ,also tested and worked with windows 7 ultimate 32-bit (use the vista 32-bit one).[break]
