AMD has released another hotfix for its ATI Catalyst drivers, this time for the 10.2 release. The patch would appear in Aliens vs. Predator, when choosing DX11 in-game, should resolve crashes and also prevent the cursor from appearing enlarged at times under Windows 7. All of this only works in conjunction with the HD 5000, HD 4800 and HD 4700 series of video cards. The brief list of customizations looks like this:

Issues resolved with ATI Catalyst 10.2 Hotfix:

  • Resolves the issue when “Aliens vs. Predator” hangs/freezes after applying DX11 from within the game when using:
    • ATI Radeon™ HD 4800 series of products
    • ATI Radeon™ HD 4700 series of products
  • Resolves the issue when mouse cursor becomes enlarged at random while using Windows 7

Note! This driver is provided as is and is not supported by AMD. It has not completed full AMD testing, and is only recommended for users experiencing the particular issue(s) described above.
