In addition to new firmware, Areca has released new drivers and management software for its Serial ATA RAID adapters. The software can be downloaded from Areca’s ftp site and is available for various operating systems, including Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, FreeBSD 4.2, FreeBSD 4.4, FreeBSD 5.2 and many Linux distributions. New are drivers for the IA-64 platform and the stmonHT monitoring utility that provides an overview of the status of the RAID adapters in the network. Further information about the changes in the drivers and the tools is unknown.
