Download Driver For Adaptec Ultra 160 SP4

Adaptec has released new drivers for its Ultra 160 line, these are only suitable for Windows 2000 and Windows XP. The release notes inform us of the following changes:

This file contains both Windows 2000 and Windows XP drivers for the 19160, 29160, 29160N, 29160LP and 39160 series cards.

These drivers have been developed to overcome speed negation issues with some devices, like scanners, CDs and CD-Rs, which may default to the slowest speed (asynchronous) when using the embedded driver in XP or earlier Windows 2000 drivers. This can then cause buffer under-runs with some CD Recorders.
